Welcome to the Cancer Eradicators: A Community Fighting to End Cancer

Cancer Eradicators community gathered for a hopeful fundraising walk, with boots, purple ribbons, and the message “WE WALK. WE FIGHT. WE WIN.”

Welcome to the Cancer Eradicators.

We’re a community of walkers, fighters, and dreamers who refuse to accept a world with cancer in it. Fueled by hope and a whole lot of heart, we lace up our boots each year for UT MD Anderson’s Boot Walk to End Cancer®: raising funds that power groundbreaking research, patient programs, prevention, education, and life-changing care at MD Anderson.

But we’re more than a team.

We’re a hub for every cancer organization, every survivor, every caregiver, and every supporter who wants to be part of something bigger. Whether you walk, donate, volunteer, or cheer from the sidelines, there’s a place for you here.

WE WALK. WE FIGHT. WE WIN.

Cancer picked the WRONG TEAM. Want to join us?

The website is live

The Cancer Eradicators website is now live, and we’d love for you to explore it, share it, and use it to stay connected to this growing mission.

Visit the Cancer Eradicators website to learn more about our community, follow our Bags and Bingo event updates, and find new ways to get involved in the fight to end cancer.

A team built on hope, action, and heart

Cancer touches nearly every community. It changes families, challenges caregivers, interrupts plans, and asks more of people than they ever expected to give. Yet cancer also reveals something powerful: the strength people find when they stand together.

That spirit is at the heart of the Cancer Eradicators.

We believe progress begins when people choose to act. A single donation can help fuel research. A volunteer can make an event more welcoming. A business can rally its employees around a shared purpose. A hospital or medical group can help connect patients, families, and supporters to a broader movement. A friend cheering from the sidelines can remind a walker that no one is fighting alone.

Every role matters. Every step counts.

Why we walk with UT MD Anderson

The UT MD Anderson Cancer BootWalk brings people together to support the mission of ending cancer. Participants can walk in person or from their own neighborhoods, turning a simple act of movement into a meaningful statement of unity.

According to MD Anderson’s Boot Walk information, 100% of funds raised by participants directly support MD Anderson’s mission to end cancer. Those funds help advance research and provide support for patient programs, prevention, and education.

That impact is why we walk.

We walk for the patients receiving care today. We walk for survivors who inspire us with their courage. We walk for caregivers who show up day after day. We walk for families honoring someone they love. And we walk for the future: a future where better prevention, earlier detection, more effective treatments, and compassionate care are available to everyone who needs them.

MD Anderson’s work helps move discoveries forward and supports patients and loved ones throughout the cancer journey. When we fundraise together, we help turn hope into action and support the ongoing effort to make cancer history.

There’s a place for everyone on this team

You don’t have to be an experienced fundraiser or a long-distance walker to become a Cancer Eradicator. You simply need to care and be willing to take one step toward a better future.

Here are a few ways to get involved:

Walk with us

Put on your favorite boots and join the movement. The Boot Walk welcomes participants of all ages, and you can take part in person or walk from your own neighborhood. Visit the Cancer Eradicators team page to learn more and join our team.

Donate

A gift of any size helps support the work happening at UT MD Anderson. You can support the Cancer Eradicators team or donate through a team member’s fundraising page.

Volunteer

Events come to life because people are willing to lend a hand. Volunteers help welcome guests, organize activities, share information, and create an encouraging experience for every participant.

Bring your organization

Businesses, community groups, medical practices, hospitals, and cancer organizations can all play an important role. Build a workplace team, sponsor a fundraiser, share our mission with your network, or invite your community to participate.

The strongest movements are built through connection. When organizations work together, their reach grows: and so does the possibility of making a meaningful difference.

Cheer us on

Support does not always look like a donation or a walk. Share a post, encourage a friend, celebrate a survivor, thank a caregiver, or show up with enthusiasm. Your voice can help someone else feel seen, supported, and ready to take action.

Join us for Bags and Bingo

Our next community benefit event is Bags and Bingo, happening on Thursday, September 24, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 9:30 PM at Tomball Regional Health Foundation, 13302 Medical Complex Drive, Tomball, TX 77375.

This will be a fun night of bingo, prize bags, and community connection, all while supporting the UT MD Anderson Cancer BootWalk. After event expenses are paid, the net proceeds from Bags and Bingo will go to UT MD Anderson Cancer Center/BootWalk support. It’s a chance to gather with friends, meet fellow supporters, enjoy a lively evening, and help advance a mission that reaches far beyond one event.

Whether you’re already part of the Cancer Eradicators or are just discovering our community, we’d love to see you there.

Bring your friends. Invite your coworkers. Gather your family. Connect with your organization. Come ready to play, laugh, cheer, and make an impact.

Bags and Bingo is more than a night out. It is another way to show patients and families that their community is behind them. Every ticket, sponsorship, bag donation, and conversation helps build momentum, and after event expenses are paid, the net proceeds support UT MD Anderson Cancer Center/BootWalk efforts.

Event progress and how you can help

We’re excited to share the momentum already building around this event.

Samuel Family Cardiology has stepped forward as our Presenting Sponsor, helping lead the way with powerful community support. We’re also grateful for our confirmed $250 Game Sponsors: Loud Mouth Entertainment, Bella Rosa, and Tejas Chocolate + Barbecue.

Right now, 4 Game Sponsor spots remain, and we are still seeking support for these opportunities:

  • Bingo Champion Sponsor — $1,500
  • Community Table Sponsor — $900
  • Signature Bag Sponsor — $500
  • In-kind prize bags donations

If your business, medical group, hospital, community organization, or family wants to make a visible difference, this is a meaningful way to stand with patients and families while helping generate net proceeds for UT MD Anderson Cancer Center/BootWalk support after event expenses are paid.

Get your tickets

Tickets are $35 plus SimpleTix fees and are currently coming to about $38 at checkout. Extra bingo cards are $5 each.

If you’ve been meaning to join us, this is the moment. Reserve your seat, invite your friends, and help us fill the room with people ready to make an impact while supporting an event whose net proceeds, after expenses, go to UT MD Anderson Cancer Center/BootWalk support.

Buy your Bags and Bingo tickets

Become a sponsor

Sponsorships are a powerful way to show your support, connect with the community, and help drive this event forward. After event expenses are paid, the net proceeds from Bags and Bingo support UT MD Anderson Cancer Center/BootWalk efforts.

We still need support for Bingo Champion ($1,500), Community Table ($900), Signature Bag ($500), and in-kind bag donations, and we have 4 remaining $250 Game Sponsor spots available.

If your business, hospital, medical practice, or community group wants to stand up in a visible, meaningful way, now is the time to step in.

Sponsor Bags and Bingo

Donate a bag or spread the word

We are also actively seeking in-kind bag donations to help make this night even more exciting for our guests. If you can donate a bag, sponsor a level, purchase tickets, or share the event with your network, you are helping build real momentum for this mission and support an event whose net proceeds, after expenses, go to UT MD Anderson Cancer Center/BootWalk support.

Buy your tickets. Sponsor a level. Donate a bag. Share the event.

That’s how we keep showing up for our community. That’s how we keep moving this mission forward.

Cancer Eradicators fundraising roadmap showing how supporters can clarify their purpose, build resources, spread the word, and celebrate impact.

Turning individual action into collective impact

Fundraising can feel intimidating at first, but it starts with something simple: sharing why you care.

Maybe you’re walking in honor of a loved one. Maybe you’re supporting a friend through treatment. Maybe cancer has affected your workplace, congregation, school, or neighborhood. Maybe you believe every person deserves the best chance at a healthier future.

Your reason is enough.

Start by telling your story. Ask a few people to join you. Share your fundraising page. Host a small gathering. Invite your organization to participate. Attend Bags and Bingo. Each action creates another opportunity for someone to learn, contribute, and become part of the fight.

The Cancer Eradicators’ Fundraising Roadmap to Success offers a helpful way to get started: clarify your why, build your resources, spread the word, and celebrate the impact you make. You do not have to do everything at once. Progress grows one conversation, one event, and one step at a time.

A future worth fighting for

Ending cancer is an ambitious goal: but ambition is exactly what this fight requires.

We may not know what the future holds, but we know what we can do today. We can show up. We can give generously. We can encourage one another. We can support the researchers, clinicians, patients, and families working toward better outcomes. We can make sure no one faces cancer without a community beside them.

The Cancer Eradicators are proud to support UT MD Anderson’s mission, but this movement belongs to everyone who believes cancer should not have the final word.

So lace up. Rally your people. Visit our live website. Mark your calendar for Bags and Bingo on September 24. Buy your tickets, explore sponsorship opportunities, donate a bag, and share the event. Join the Boot Walk. Share the mission. Take the next step with us.
